there is such a thing as a 'Dub Snob' and they usually do not own one but their dad....auntie ...their cousin once removed did ...
I don't know if this is already here, but anyone new to bay ownership should be aware that parts may be missing or have for some bizarre reason be replaced with the wrong option - even something like a gearbox could be the wrong item!
But the old owners will ALWAYS have a reason why .....however obscure that is ....there always a reason , usually as it was a better option or it makes it 'run smoother' ......not I'm a skinflint or experimenting .....
And for these reasons I guess it safe to advise that they VERY rarely come with a decent history which could explain various mis-nomas
and sometimes they will inform you that the ones with the split screens are the best ones to have, they're the ones that everybody wants. They will then let you know that the "proper" ones are where the money is. Bless them, I just let them know that we're still saving up for a proper one.
Ha ha my elderly neighbour told me ' never mind Row when I win the lottery I will buy you a new one' ........
Great thread I've now got a spare accelerator & clutch cable, a huge supply of oil so I'm a little more prepared for some situations I may encounter ready for my trip to Santa pod this weekend I think I might have a little pray too it can't hurt!
Fit a towbar so that you can tow a huge trailer to carry all the spares and garage accessories people insist you should carry with you
