I just remembered~ They're really cranking out some realistic looking artificial turf now and it's really affordable. I've been keeping it on a mental back burner lately, trying to simmer up an idea for a whimsical indoor use for it. I was thinking maybe it would be fun in a small bathroom, but why not a bus? It certainly wouldn't be right for everyone, but you have to admit it would look cool. I could see it in Birdy's bus, for example. I've never even met him but he seems just the right sort of crazy for it.
The Wisemans do have it in their bus. I did have it in my bathroom at home along with paving slabs and shingle. Don't ask. It was "one of those ideas"
I did what I said I was going to do a year ago and ripped it all up. I've since painted it but I'm still scratching my head for what flooring to put down
Not glues down yet.... Or even properly cut to size... Bit this is what I am putting down. Amtico commercial flooring in starburst white and starburst orange... The starburst just means that there is a layer of glitter in the tile... Don't ask.. the kids decided that one!
was at a car boot at the weekend and couldnt help myself, got this nearly 2m roll for a fiver, not quite wide enough by 2 inches but does the job, I may take it up the MDF board where the speakers are, but will have to cut a hole for the table to go in and shave a bit off of the bottom of the cupboard doors lol pretty damn close green to the bus colour B
Polyfloor see http://www.polyflor.com/jh/products.nsf/products!open&family=hom&prodcode=FXSC205 http://www.polyflor.com/jh/products.nsf/products!open&family=hom This site is a UK company who does loads of vinyl flooring products - they are all Extra HD - have a look at the site as there are 100s of different textures and colours - I would reframe from putting real wood in the camper as it need to be maintained and if it gets wet it could expand and delaminate - same goes for laminate wood - this stuff is all 2 or 3mm thick and will last 50 plus years.- I sell it so I know. Hope it helps Marc - ps if you have problems getting it email me and I will tell you where your local store is -oh yes and its cheep - ranging from £5m2 to £15m2 plus vat (not the LVT stuff that costs £20plus)
I had some nice black laminate in mine but the dog hated it coz it's very slippy especially when wet so i covered it in cheap lino
Majorhangover I'm thinking black or very dark, I used to have black and white chequered stuff and the white bits were a nightmare to clean and keep clean.
