I've just dropped my engine and the oil cooler tin doesn't look particularly airtight as per the pics - does this look right? The triangle bit doesn't seem to extend all the way down the cooler but I'm not sure what it's supposed to look like . I've got new front engine tin to go on as it didn't have any originally. Don't mind buying new oil cooler tin if it's wrong at the mo. Cheers Mark
You can buy rubber U channel edging seal by the metre on eBay for instance . It just pushes over the exposed top /side edge of each part. Tidy up the paint and you wont need new parts. Looking at the dimensions of the eBay stuff, the medium width stuff looks about right.. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121668017693?hash=item1c53fa9e1d:g:IU0AAOSwBLlVbg~q
Thanks guys. The triangle one is a really ******* poor fit. Quite big gaps all around. I'll take it apart and see why. Ill also trial fit the missing front engine tin see how it all works together
The gaps should be more even - I think there is also edging missing on the far side of the top triangle bit against the fan housing , or it has twisted a bit .
