Apparently, this is happening but to what extent I'm not sure. It's with the Pfizer one that they have to de-frost so when there's a no show it goes in the bin. Can't they just give it to the next person? or phone someone quick? or is this fake news? What are your thoughts on people that don't want it and don't contact the Vaccine centre/Docs to tell them.
First they should pay for it if it has to be destroyed, second when and if all this madness ends if you havent got a valid stamped Vaccine card you will not be able to leave the country, either by land sea or air, then watch the the requests for vaccine increase, and they should pay for it too..
I read (not on the expert testament that is Facebook) that one place doing the vaccine's had 109 no shows in one day, the staff worked till just before 11pm.
Not fake news I'm afraid. My mate took his 91 year old father in law to have his. It was the end of the day and they had a few no shows so they just asked anybody who's brought somebody and want a jab, step up, my mate did.
A can see some problems with that. Germany in the 1930's for starters. I agree if you don't go and don't let them know that you should stump up the cost though. Papers sir? No thanks.
We do already, it's called a passport. It can't be hard to add a field to the passport control screen, if they wanted.
I didn't say I agreed with it, I'm just pointing out that you can't leave the country without papers now and if the powers that be wanted to administrate it I don't think it would be that difficult. My personal opinion with vaccination is if you don't want it because you think it's the governments mind altering drug, don't have it. You stand a greater risk of death, but if the individual is Ok with that, crack on. Me personally, I'd have it this afternoon if I could. I wonder if society might single "non vaccines" as a bit of a social outcast anyway? Other than among like minded thinkers, that is.
I don't disagree with the vaccine either. I'll be having it. Just pointing out that generally being barred from doing stuff without "documents" is a very slippery slope...
so is a worldwide uncontrolled epidemic, there gotta be a trade off, plus it doesn’t (as we see currently at the tunnel) take our government to implement such a stipulation, though lots are suggesting non tested people shouldn’t enter this country, what’s the difference, between us not letting unvaccinated people out to everyone else not letting us in , we have control of one it not the other , law of unintended consequences
You can't travel to many countries without a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate, few people feel this impinges their 'human rights'. I've never heard someone say, ooh, I won't go to that Caribbean island because they require me to be vaccinated against a really nasty vector borne disease. I'm sure a Covid 19 vaccination certificate will be required in many places too. To be fair to the few no-shows, the current target group are also, perhaps, the most forgetful and easily confused group in society.
So we are all 100% sure that all the 'no shows' were actually informed? I know that this makes me hugely popular - but I'll have a fair bet that many letters go to old addresses, wrong names etc etc. Do we know if the invites are 'accepted/confirmed' by the invitee? Surely its as simple as putting a phone number and code on each letter for the person to text to confirm they know they have to attend and only have the vaccines for these people available?
And why not - you are a risk to yourself and others. One tag on the biometrics on a passport, job done.
On Corfu in the 1980's - when Albania was still the Soviet Block's equivalent of North Korea and only a few miles off the coast of Kassiopi where we were staying. We hired a motor boat and were explicitly told not to head towards the Albanian coast as they would send out a launch, seize our boat and arrest us. Then followed a story that it had recently happened to a British couple - the crew of the Albanian launch came alongside and shouted "papers" at them. In response the British couple took a copy of The Sun from their beach bag and waived it at them......there was a collective shrug of Albanian military shoulders and the Brits were towed back into Greek waters and cast off.
