It’s screwed into the bed board at the front and into the lip just inside the rear hatch at the back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Cheers bud. Just out of interest how many boards did you by from Evo? Is the white board the same or is it a different make?
Both colours are from Evo. I originally bought 2 sheets of white and 1 of the walnut. That’s done the headbanger, main unit, board under the bed and rear flip up bins. That includes a number of screw ups too though so isn’t the most I could have got out of the boards. I’ve since ordered another sheet of white and a half of walnut to do the rear cubbys, a small cooker unit and a buddy box for the walkthrough. I picked up the original sheets in the back of the van when it was empty but didn’t fancy removing the interior to collect more so just paid a local man and van to collect for me. Delivery from Evo would’ve been £90 or so! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
A sneaky peak of my late night activities sorting the electrics in the van. Only one light installed so far, more brightness to come!
Thanks mate. Don't think we've ever had lighting in the back! It's Warwick Ginkgo vinyl in Anthracite, with Clarke & Clarke Fossil in Dove. The fabric has a nice mini herringbone pattern to it.
A little further on the van electrics over the past few weeks. Leisure battery installed and Ctek battery to battery / solar charger installed. Only the b2b component is currently wired up: Fusebox hidden away in the redundant spare wheel well: And I’ve started running wires down to the components. Thus far I’ve done the fridge, propex, 2 of 4 strip lamps and the usb charger:
A small table made up for Iris. Max came out to do some watercolour while I made a start on the rear cubbies.
Thanks mate. I'm a big fan of the fabric, looked through loads of samples but the moment we saw this one it was a done deal.
Excellent. Think we looked at a few black vinyls but some looked a bit cheap. This one is lurvly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I did briefly consider taking it up for a living, but decided I'm better off earning my pennies in my current job and doing it as a hobby. Having said that I'm not against the idea of taking on small bits for others. I sold a few spare wheel covers I made, and have had some interest in doing upholstery. May well be doing some welding on a mini this summer for a mate.
Beautiful work as ever James. I expect there are some fine lines between working on your own camper and doing it on a commercial basis; lots of time/cost/quality/enjoyment decisions, difficult enough when its all yours but harder if you have to have a meeting of minds with a paying customer. Do you have any plans for a hob/cooker and sink? Also that looks like a fairly robust relay under the soundproofing, split charge I'm guessing, any details??
Cheers mate. Think I’m putting a sink in the main unit and then building a small unit by the sliding door for the cooker (swing out maybe?). Not quite decided. The unit in the engine bay is a Ctek D250SE: battery-to-battery Charger and MPPT controller. Only currently wired up for b-2-b at the moment, I’ll add some solar panels in a few months. Thanks James, good forward planning, compressor fridge and solar panel seems to be way to go at present. I look forward to reading more.
Not anticipating much progress on the bug for a while with us in lockdown so cracking on with the remaining van cabinets. Finished the rear cubbies today and got Max’s reading light installed! Just a buddy box and cooker unit left now.
