The bigger pump jet basically delivers more fuel when you are loading the engine as you put your foot down. You wont know until it gets on a rolling road.
I am glad I changed the emulsion tubes. Eurocarb supplied F78 in one carb and F22 in the other. That would have run well
New carbs in and running really nicely but still leaking! Arrrrgh! This time the top gasket is getting wet with fuel. I have tried new gaskets and made no difference. When taking the tops off, the moulding dips in the lower half are full of fuel. I have checked the floats again and the height with the gasket is about 7mm. I did not have this issue on the old carbs so have swapped out the float needle and seats, which were reasonably new due to me buying rebuild kits. I did notice one thing. The float needle seats from the rebuild kits have holes in the sides of the tubes, but the original Weber's do not. I will see if it helps. The only other thing I can think if is that I have a fuel cut off solenoid fitted near the tank outlet that closes with the ignition off. I wonder if this is holding pressure in the lines and forcing fuel through.
Do you have a pressure regulator? If it's one of those chrome empi type ones I wouldn't put much faith in it TBH.
Zed is right, too much fuel pressure and the ICT's will leak through the spindles too. You will also find it hard to set the idle mixture as it will over fuel. My Filter king is a brilliant regulator. The malpassi ones seem to to be the regulators of choice. I went for the Glass 57mm one. http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/perfo...ilter-king-fuel-pressure-regulator-and-filter
This is an old pic but the regulator is still in the same place. dont have the mechanical pump any more or the empi linkage.
I have a filter king reg like earlylatebay's. You need a fuel pressure gauge to set them up, but they are available with a gauge for an extra £15 or so that you replace with a plug when you've set the pressure. Try "demon tweeks"
Mine is mounted on two rivnuts but self tappers will do just as well. plenty of room behind the firewall for drilling in that place, just go slow.
They are CB Performance filters that incorporate the hex bar mountings. I got the CB Performance manifolds/filters/hex bar linkage and 34ICT's kit from Eurocarb. They may sell them separately.
