Granted, but if you hAve a rudimentary understanding of plumbing and google its really not splitting the atom is it? I know 3 gas safe registered plumbers and none of them are mensa material lol
TLB must remind everyone that any gas work must be done by a Gas Safe engineer in the UK.., Anyone can do brakes, there is no law against that, unlike Gas fittings.
I know a dentist a pharmacist a surgeon and none of those would know where to start on a simple bit of plumbing ,each to there own
The law says anyone doing gas work and being paid for it (self employed or as an employee) must be approved – i.e. on the Gas Safe Register (GSR). You do not have to be GSR to do gas work if you are not being paid e.g. in your own home (on a DIY basis though) you just need to be competent.
