Holly crap, what the hell am I doing lol ,that's a whole 180 out to what I thought was right ,I have moved the leads round and never had anything put an odd pop
Noop gave up ,the timing is bang on ,but I seem to loose the spark at the cylinders,,electronic dizzy won't put a spark out ,sparks at the coil lead when u earth it but that's it ,put the old 009 back in and I have nothing with that either ,get the odd pop put nothing else ,so that's a new coil ,plugs ,dizzy that I have fitted over the last few months ,think I am gonna order all new ,leads ,coil ,009 dizzy ,plugs and go from there.
Flakey's is not normal, his is 180 degs out. I expect someone put the dog on the distributor the wrong way round.
That's what I would of thought ,when I had the pops I stopped and rechecked every thing ,pulled number one plug lead of put a plug on the end and earthed it to check for a spark and got my son to crank it over and nothing no spark ,again reset it to tdc pulled no1 plug ,piston was there at Tdc ,rockers slack ,again pulled all plug leads of the dizzy and put em back on from 1 cloakwise 432,and again got my son to crank it and nothing. Lost yes I am
That's it up and running again ,New dizzy leads ,plugs and set the tappets, set the timming and burst into life, bit of a relief, only thing is some of the tappets where a bit tight so slackened them of a tad to the right gap but the van sounds a little tappy ,this the norm
