Best to find someone who's done it before, the more times the better perhaps. There are lots of ways and heights. But it's a serious suspension modification, not a bolt on fashion accessory. Expect to have problems along the way of one sort or another.
I thought I'd blow off the road at 40mph today, I'm glad to be home and knackered from driving about 60 miles in a crosswind. Time to look at steering racks again I think.
I've had full height, 1 spline and 2 spline down. The one spline was ok but I much prefer full height. Not everyone would agree, it does depend how you weigh up these things.
Well firstly we are looking at budget and I'm guessing it could be costly to do anyway and if in honest I don't want to be worried when driving onto campsites or anything if it's low.....
I have had quite a few vans lowered over the years, the only one I have had absolutely no trouble with was done by a bloke called Justyn or Pipjes on VZI just wondered if anyone else has had any dealings with him, he charges £300 and its an in and out in a day job. his phone number was 07916 377906 He was based in Winchester last time I heard.
your right it isnt cheap but it works at what ever ride level you set it at plus it feels like you have power steering :}
So would £200 of bits and a weekend messing about if I work it out first. Have to move the servo and M/C to the other side for starters, so maybe more than a weekend. Nobody seems to have managed a conversion that you'd absolutely want to repeat as far as I can find out on the net.
I don't know why fellows didn't do that on mine. If they'd moved the servo and master cylinder it would have been considerably cheaper for them! Regardless of that, it's bloody brilliant.
