Perhaps you were supposed to say "Paula you are so kind and thoughtful, but I've had second thoughts and it wouldn't be fair to leave you alone with OUR 3 week old baby". Or She's getting one in the bag to bring up in the future when examples of your heartlessness are required.
Yep. I agree that dies look better. When I spoke to creative they advised their experience with their beams was that around two inches drop which was the upper setting on theirs gave best results with their gas shocks ie not overly harsh but much improved handling.
I've been following a thread on e arlybay about rhem., that's all. I habeen looking at various steering options recently, Litesteer, red 9 beam, steering rack conversions. I have massive play in my box
That's what the people who re-con them do: grease them instead of using oil to hide the fact they're knackered!
I've never done anything to mine in 20 odd years. I've no idea what it's like compared to any other. Aren't new ones available. Brazilian perhaps or do they use something different. Can a t3 bevel box not be used to good effect if the red 9 ones have an issue btw.
I think they used to use t3 ones but then started making their own. Not sure why but possibly supply issues or price issues?
Just emailed about costs ( just incase) Advice on which to do if we do go ahead at some point.. "There are a few different ways of doing it and they do vary in price yes! You can either go down the route off fitting front beam adjusters and lowering it one spline on the back which is the cheapest way! Or front dropped spindles and rear horse shoe plates or adjustable spring plates. What kind off budget are you thinking ?"
Cheapest is adjusters. There is a guy down South does it for 300 quid. If budget is the answer. This fella has done tons of buses. Depends on how you use your bus really. Drop spindles are better but more expensive but you can DIY them. My advice is have a spin in a bus which has it done first and see what you prefer. Always could go air. But mega bucks
