by the way, not for a minute do i think you're having a go at me here bern, i genuinely do care about this place or i'd have left a long time ago my opinions are purely based on what i see - which is a lot, i just fail to see what at least 5 of them do anymore
Probably their day job which is incidentally what I should be doing but I keep getting alerts from this thread!
No-one told me there would be mods there??? (Once again this is said tongue in cheek so feel free not to throw all your toys out of the pram (again))
If there are mods present, please note I am likely to swear vociferously when some nut case tries to chop my toes off with an axe (like last time)
also please note that techenders isn't a latebay event so you can do one if you think you're moderating me there.
A forum, of any description, is not a democracy (I'm sure I've said this before). Usually they are set up by one or two like minded people & when they start to get going those people recruit others who they feel have a similar outlook on things. Out of these the original "owners" start appointing the ones they feel most "in tune" with, as either Moderators or Administrators. I've been involved with different forums over the years (& message boards & Lists prior to forums) on some I was just a member on others mod or admin but it was accepted that it was a thankless & unending task running the thing. Standards & rules have been set, either obey them or leave it's that simple.
Actually I think @brothernumberone was correct first time. "You're not helping" note the apostrophe in you're. It's been shortened from "you are" Does that help
no - the in joke was the one who shan't be discussed used to put your not helping instead of "you're"
Does the un-named one still live under a bridge or am i getting real life mixed up with the tlb panto script again?
