For goodness sake give it a rest Woody. I don't know what your problem is with TLB the Admin & Mods but if you don't like it ( & it certainly seems like you don't) why don't you close your account & go somewhere else? I'm sure there will be other forums which will welcome you & your knowledge with open arms or stick to Facebook & organise your own trips through that or start your own forum then you can run it any way you like.
Like was said earlier in this thread by someone, mods are selective and only intervene when they feel like it, just like you did yesterday and have just done now, really don't know why you think iv'e got a problem with mods, maybe you should re read this thread and post on some who have tell me where in my original post I mention mods, nowhere, thats where but then dog jumped straight in, plus I don't organise stuff on facebook, i leave that to others
see how i see it is this, forums as in life people come and go, people on here who left and don't keep in contact were just associates not mates - i'm still here so i don't need to find them - they know where i am if they want me.
It's funny how that when I come on here I see a forum of people talking about square port heat exchangers, wild camping and valve clearances, yet others see a political arena of doubletalk, back-stabbing and insidiousness. Is there a private forum for which I don't have the keys?
there's a lot of in jokes and for some reason "bad blood" about stuff, the in jokes are just from being on a lot and remembering things, the bad blood though as terrordales said if people (and i'm not moaning at woody) don't like it then go somewhere else, stuff i don't like i just don't get involved in anymore.
I think it is comments like this that get perceived as Mod baiting. We don't just intervene when we feel like it - we intervene when we find the time to login and read through all the posts. Sometimes it is too late to do anything as there have been multiple replies and the thread has moved on. Unfortunately for Don he gets to things before the rest of us as he is 12 hours ahead. Hopefully this won't be perceived as Mods sticking together - I am just trying to help everyone understand why it can sometimes appear inconsistent. There are very few of us that monitor the forums (me included) on a daily basis and I think the ones that do deserve more credit.
agree with charlie on the mods who are on here a lot needing more credit but surely there needs to be more mods that come on a lot, 4 or 5 of them are never on (or if they are they don't contribute) you need mods who actually come on and see how things progress, i'd never do it but i see far more than a lot of you do and so do a lot of the other saddo's with no real friends
Is 'you're not helping' an in-joke? And what about 'wizard' stuff? There should be an 'in-joke' sticky for people like me don't get it
As a relative newbe I think this forum is quite refreshing Everybody is in agreement about the main reason this forum runs eg campervans however other subjects that come up are treated with a debate that doesn't turn nasty even when there's a difference in opinion I go on one football forum ( yes I hate to admit it but I do follow football_) where even though posters support the same team it can be carnage with mods having to wade in with temp and perminant bans
i gotta agree with ron - even when this forum is regarded as out of order by mods it's tame compared to many, it's just not letting it slip into the insulting/not nice i think they are trying to do which won't be solved unless more mods come online more often - simples.
We are aware that more mods are needed - if people stopped sniping at the ones we have it would make it appear less of a poisoned chalice
