Re your ligament ... "RICE" but if you want to be a bit more proactive, change the "ice" bit to "contrast" ... Ice on for one minute max, then either nothing, or warm, for two minutes, back to the ice and repeat about five times, so 15 minutes all-in .... Often as you can be bothered.
Nice artificial pump that flushes the stagnating stuff out and brings nice heeling stuff in

I thought it was one or the other.

 

Most likely buzzards, we seem to be about 10 miles south of where kites are seen.. they seem to disappear south of Winchester.
