  4. I agree that in the ideal world it should always be peace not war - I always liked the peace movement as a student in the 60s and songs by Dylan (e.g. Blowin' in the Wind ) and Donovan (e.g. Universal Soldier) - I would never have volunteered to fight on foreign soil - Thank God that Harold Wilson wouldn't join USA in Vietnam or I might not be here now . But sometimes taking up arms is the only answer if you are invaded .

If I did pick up arms for my country then most of you could well be the enemy. o_O:theforce:

I used to go shooting as a kid, not a bad shot either. I like action movies, shoot em up films/series, paintballing, COD type games but I'm glad to say I know where the line is and that reality would be a very different thing.

This sounds very very similar to the U.S. thoughts on reasons to have guns / bear arms. Defies logic in this part of the planet to most here.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,, I hope there’s an end to it soon.

  10. The protection of peace and freedom comes at a price. Ironically, often that price is defending yourself and engaging in a violent conflict. The likes of Putin, and historically Hitler are not interested in peace and freedom. Rather they would see empire and subjugation as their goal. We should ask ourselves 'what can we do?' to avoid conflict at all costs. And search every avenue. But if you are not given that choice (and being invaded is a case in point), to capitulate and give up is not an option. You have to fight. The Ukrainians are not asking us to fight for them, they are asking for our support to help them fight the aggressor. And we should do just that.

Me too. I was in The Johnny Clan. There were around 600 of us. We used to do clan fights with others all around the world. Think we were in the top 15 global clans.
    I was Johnnie Weedkiller.
