I’ve had plenty of folk ask if I’ll do the upholstery for their T4/T5, but honestly I’ve not been too interested in it. Old stuff all the way for me!

Bug looks great, Jim. How much of a strain do those big tyres put on the (presumably) stock axles?

 

So far so good! And most of the back end isn't particularly stock.
It's running:

• Bus 1600 engine and 3 rib gearbox.
• Porsche 924 stub axles and drive shafts.

The Porsche 924 axles are marvellous as they're basically identical to a stock beetle axle but have a slightly bigger flange to allow them to mate to a bus/Porsche 924 drive shaft (left: stock, right: Porsche).

Make a nice couple of toilet roll holders

 

I've tried to bring car parts into the house, but they always get noticed!
That might be subtle enough to work though!
