Hi Guys I am having trouble find a trim piece for my westy berlin. The piece does not seem to be re made by any of the usual suspects and understandable Westys are no being broken so often nowerdays. It is the piece which closes off the back edge of the ply headliner against the front of the the pop top cut out, please see attached pic. Cheers Andy
Hi Mark Yes mate tried them. FBI, Downunder, NOSVW , plus a few others. If no one here has one I think I will try the samba. Cheers Andy
I have one ... undecided if i want to part with it and its from a continental ..so don`t know if it fits ...
Hi Mork, sorry for calling you mark. I have had a few bits from Frank, but he doesnt have one and have checked on part emporium a couple of times. lhu1281 I would be very interested if you decide to sell and you would be helping to get another bus finished. I had a continental a few years back and think it might be the same. Cheers Andy
Hi Adrian It looks quite simular, but the correct one has a finish to the surface and fixes differently. Also as I want to keep the original side trims it needs to match. Cheers Andy
I’ll did it out , I bought it used 22 years ago and still haven’t swopped mine out ( mine had two chunks missing) ..
That would be great and there must be a massive stash of goodie, which have been stored for a few decades. Cheers Andy
Little update to say I managed to get the trim from Franks VWbus parts and would say try them if you have any issues finding westfalia parts. Also thanks for the comments and advise. Cheers Andy
I’m a bit late to the party but I had similar trouble finding that seal in a condition good enough to use. In the end I found that a front pop top seal worked with a bit of glue! Check out post 494 on my build thread. Might be helpful for others? https://thelatebay.com/index.php?threads/chilli-the-funky-green-chillin-machine.49460/page-25
