This week's update and some real good forward motion has been made.
I think this is in some respects the worse part of the job, putting it back together! I'm a bit of a devil for detail but I honestly couldn't be happier with progress.
We've got new front window seals and seals on the Westy jalousies gone in and some new rear lamp holders.

What do you reckon, cover, leave as is or fit a hub cap on that spare:thinking:
Not covering it will make tyre rotation easier coz they're a pita to get on and off.

I had the same debate with ours. Ended up making a cover for it.

I like the stainless steel sort that clamps around the wheel with a disc covering the front.

I wouldn't think he's short of work if that his standard.

18 month lead time Mark. Before us was a vintage Jowett. Before that 2 syncros. More syncros and a bay on the board to come

I do like the covers. We started with white, then went black but to my shame I never rotated the tyres coz it was easier not to! Must try harder ;)

Is it even worth the bother these days? The side walls will crack long before you wear them out.

BTW, your swatches arrived earlier. We are going to mail them on and get Sandy to compare the greys:thumbsup:
Mrs Monkey is pretty certain there's one there that's pretty close to the seat backs.

True, but it suits my approach  and I like tyres to match and wear evenly. The old spare was hidden under the cover and whilst was the same size it was a different brand coz it wasn't worn out! It was probably 12 years old though!

We've had to get into the habit with the syncro due to the viscous coupling. That's got 2 spares on it now

I could (and did) wear a set of tyres on my golf to illegality in 10-15,000 miles but the bus... after those miles they still look new! So yeah, different vehicles, different driving styles - it helps that the cupboards would empty themselves if I drove the bus like the golf.

One last one to finish off the week.
We supplied Schofield window seal kits. Apparently these were a bit of a bugger to fit but the results are very pleasing..
