Many people take drugs other than alcohol these days, it's a fact. Not just unemployed in cities either, drugs are everywhere and in all levels of life. Tobacco is my only vice these days but you'd have to be blind not to notice.
I must be blind. I see puff all over but have no idea who’s doing other stuff unless they’re obviously out of it! Perhaps it’s another level of life I’m thankfully not privy to, a bit like the ministry of magic in Harry Potter.
Amphetamines (speed) - used to be known as the lorry drivers/cabbie's friend amongst other things. 20 years ago the local glazier boss (quite a big company) was known within the company as Champagne Pete* because he spent all the company profits on Cocaine. I worked there... for a week - incredibly low standards.
I will admit to growing up with kids that did blueys and weed, but I opted out very early on 16 ish. I’m glad I did seeing the state of some of them now
It's a common theme.. I'm reading Henry Coles book.. He was a smackhead..in the 80's dealing and using.. And around 20 of his mates died ..some only recently..
