Best white colour

As above, I'm meeting the painter on Saturday to discuss paint colours, my preference is savannah bei4ge bottom and l90d pastel white,

Problem is l90d is very creamy and I was wondering if there is a nice brighter white to compliment the savannah bei4ge

I have just painted a bit of a project I'm on with and I have used ford diamond white...because I could get it...
L90d is a creamer shade but I don't think the ford paint is that bad, a lot whiter yes. It's not that much different to the white on my van to be honest...sorry no pics but I can get some if you want....
A lot of different white shades available

 

Mine's done R902 Grauweiss which I understand is a later VW colour, but it's definitely " whiter" than Pastel white.

 

Early l90d is whiter than the later l90d pastel white

^this. The “earlier” Pastel White - the one our vans are painted in - isn’t creamy. Make sure they mix the right one!

I think I may have just made this error. Ordered some Rustoleum L90D not knowing that there were two shades. Just opened the tin and it's very off white. Almost green actually. Either way its wrong. What should I be asking for? My bus is a 76 so so it to be an early, whiter L90D seems odd

 

Who mixed your Rusto? Doesn’t sound right to me. Given it a good stir?

Avenue? Odd, as they must’ve mixed a million gallons of L90D for vans. Mine was a perfect match.

 

I think the confusing creamy Pastel White came much later. Should be ok if they mix to the code, rather than the name.

 

L90D has always had a slight green tinge, it's quite noticeable next to a brilliant white. I would never see it in a can though, or even looking at a bus without a sheet of white paper as a reference.

 

Yes Avenue - in Reading I believe? So is it possible that my bus is not actually L90D? Feels like I'm going to have to dig out that M Plate again!

 

Is Brillaint White a VW colour?

 

It has possibly been repainted a different white already. You may have to make a visit to a paint shop who has a colourimeter tool, or take a paint chip for them to measure, rather than just ordering by an assumed colour code, so they can get the correct white off the paint you already have.

You're restoring it so you'll be repainting it all? My advice - don't paint it "white" it will look cheap.
I went even further and chose a much darker random cream that was basically... brown. It still looked white to me, even in the shade. If you're trying to match, ignore me.

 

Its possible yes. However, whilst the bottom half has been painted twice, the "white" on the outside is the same colour as the white on the inside and it's for sure the original colour on the inside. This is all most odd.

It's a LHD German bus btw. I will check the M Plate anyway to be sure.
