I've got this one - does the job. https://www.blackanddecker.co.uk/en...umion-dustbuster-cordless-hand-vacuum/dva325j
aaaah the heady days of our student house, with it's moth-eaten brown shagpile carpet, resolutely refusing to give up it's faint odour of tobacco and spilled cider no matter how many times I pushed the 1950s upright hoover around whilst singing the Shake 'n' Vac song, before the landlady came for one of her yearly visits....
When you started to stick to the lino in our student kitchen, well.. that was the hint it needed the mop and bucket treatment.
you are aware that the carpet in your landmark is where the new variant of COVID emerged from..., No?
Still got the original brown Westy carpet in mine, with a loose mat over. This cleans up fine with a stiff bristle handbrush.
Apparently Lidl or Aldi have a rechargeable wet and dry handheld vac next Sunday ( I think) got to be worth seeking out - vacuum the condomsation off the windows in the morning then hoover up the pringles you've trodden in after your midnight snack
Ooh ohh I like a Middle of Lidl bargain, and Aldi is still a bit of a novelty and therefore an exciting day out.... I’m looking forward to next weekend already!!
We have an Electrolux very similar to that. It’s fine and dandy but we have noticed you have to keep the filter clean or it tends to lose suction fairly quickly.
That thought crossed my mind. I got a man in to clean the carpet in the Landmark on new ownership as the Princess I live with refused to camp until it was cleaned as I was working I didn’t meet the guy but apparently the water was black and he did it twice and said he could do more but gave up
I have one from the 60’s, still in a box, that you crocodile clip onto the car battery, from my wife’s grandad.
