This is a bit awkward for me But my favorite drummer is this guy. He did for about 45 years around New York. He had some stories He’s my Dad . Sorry for the huge photo. His favorite drummer is definitely myself and my unbelievable talented percussionist. My sister. But after that it’s for sure this man buddy rich
I do like Will Calhoun from Living Colour too, specially on live footage. I love his unpredictable technical drumming, but sometimes equally enjoy the solid basics of the likes of Mr Rudd!
Another one - Jacob Armen. No idea what he’s doing nowadays, but I saw loads of vids on YouTube years ago of him as a 5 year old kid completely embarrassing grown ups behind a kit. Quite good for odd time signatures and technical ability, but not a great deal of ‘feel’ to what he was playing. Very good drummer nonetheless!
Not bad - for beginners. Let's have some proper Bernard "Pretty" Purdie. The famous Purdie shuffle at 3:45 (as stolen by John Bonham and numerous others). It's Bern's "plasma" to be with you. Ow!
Or we could have some Senri Kawaguchi, who frankly could knock any rock drummer into a cocked hat, despite only being 5 foot tall and barely able to reach the pedals...
