Wouldn't be interested in a scooter. If I bought a skateboard I'd want the all terrain one. Wouldn't fancy hitting a stone at 25mph on normal skateboard wheels!
Just checked the all terrain one out. That would be loads of fun, I think you should get it. You've probably saved a fortune on lock down, call it a lock down treat!
I've just spent the last half hour looking online.... Almost pressed go but the fact the "standard" battery adds about £250 to the claimed price has annoyed me, so sod 'em! Feel great now. Just theoretically saved myself a fortune (and probably some broken bones).
Sons got a escooter from Lidl’s. It’s brilliant. It has led lights, pretty bright too. Brighter than your standard Pifco with 2 new HP2 Batteries! 15 miles to a charge. Scoot assist for steep hills. Really cheap way of getting about for a young ‘un! What’s not to like?
Excellent non-purchase-rationalisation skills. I'd been doing that with exhaust for 4 years but it got me in the end. Next is an Awesome Powdercoat thermostat. That could take a while too.
I still ride mine when no ones looking (normally at night when everyone’s asleep, as no one wants to see an old fat man face plant the tarmac when a small stone causes it to stop abruptly) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
None of you can help it. People are attracted to shiny things. I don't blame any of you. The only thing i'd say is is'nt it the same as putting a big loud exhaust and coilovers on a Vauxhall Nova?
Who me? I don't want shiny, just more volume and less internal changes of direction and what else is there? The choice of Type-4 aftermarket stuff is exceedingly limited and expensive though it is, this is the cheap way forward for me. You on the other hand sticking one on a 1600 have over cooked it purely for bling. Let's hear your post purchase rationalisation for that. You can do it.
You obviously don’t know that I’m running lots of ponies nowadays in the noisey cupboard (1641) no less . Luuuuurrrrvvee the sound too. Not much good at rational anyfink bud, apart from how many Stellas are left, I’ll force one down your neck the very next time we catch up. You ok bud? I’ve just been tested too so I’m bullet proof Day off today, so I’m playing the same as Barry and seeing wots biting,, looks like I got one of then Zeddy fish on right now Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,chuggy chuggy gurgle chuggy chuggy, etc etc
I fitted my Vintage speed exhaust this morning and took it for a drive. It has done exactly what I hoped. The stock exhaust made anything over 50mph in 3rd pointless and noisy, 45-50mph wasn't so great either. Now it goes 60mph in 3rd no problems which it simply could not do before, not a chance, and at last it's the engine it was supposed to be - an over sized (2.4l) but otherwise stock 2l. For anyone interested, it has the big tailpipe deep tickover, which you could arrange on any exhaust by adding...a big tailpipe. It's a biy louder than stock generally but we already knew that. This not really a recommendation as such because at a guess it would have a slightly negative effect on a stock engine at lower revs and not sure a stock would benefit so much from the extra breathability at higher revs but no complaints, it has freed up my oversize engine without a doubt. No need for post-purchase rationalisation. Just need to spoil the finish on it now so I don't look like a blinged up boy racer.
My lappy is broken, phone is internet hub on board. Using old broken phone at the mo tethered to the new one...and we know what they look like anyway. When I've made it look carp I'll take a pic to offend the shiny bling lovers.
Could be heading for Boothes around 7pm. I'll give it some beans as I go by if traffic permits and there are no bobbies about.
