No argument with me on actual law....but apparently it’s an 18 pillock our and about for no reason.

I’d push for wasting police time.

The relevance for me is more around our collective awareness and willingness to change.

Some can’t follow the most very basic of instruction.

  2. Agreed , they`ve suddenly found billions to fund the furlough candidates and self employed but have spent years running down the NHS ...
Wouldn`t expect anything else really , whatever party you support , or not , they`re all in it for themselves in my `umble opinion ...

Can we differentiate just for order.

SOME self employed. There are a good several hundred thousand people that have absolutely no cover at all.

They get to go and fight on the good ship Universal Credit.

  5. Those billions funding the furloughed - that ain't going to be free money for anyone, it will be clawed back one way or another.

unfortunately there is no logic in human nature at times that baffle sensible law abiding individuals , it will never stop . Intelligence is an interesting one too .
I was once working building a dry stone wall in the middle peak ...chap next door big house a solicitor.

He was having great difficulty putting up one of the most simplest kids climbing frames to construct .
He then asked me if iwould put it up for him ...i thought he was joking .

Sometimes common sense and intelligence don't run parallel.

  10. I`ve resigned myself to getting no help on the grounds of sub contracting to the same company for a few years and paid everything in full and on time regarding tax etc. I could have got other work in , taken a few cash jobs but he had masses of work so it meant a full week every week .
As i read it , i`ve been subbing for the same company which changes your self employed status apparently. Despite the company being OBLIGED to make my CIS payments to cover tax and NI which is done on a monthly basis , because i`m not FULLY self employed i`m not entitled and not expecting a love letter from the treasury promising me thousands .
I was promised a contract by matey last year but that never happened - when all this crap is over i certainly won`t be busting a gut anymore ....

So you sub contract without a contract, just on invoice basis?

Are you limited co or soul trader?

Yeah, if he was a divorce b****rd then that’s the starting point for a letter, leave alone a full hour.

  13. Sole trader and get paid on a daily basis without holiday or sick pay . it's in the bank every second week and he pays my CIS and an accountant submits my accounts .
All totally above board , probably more so than most self employed I've worked with to be fair , yet as I see it there's no help offered .

Oh no ..kept well away ...let him struggle very entertaining . he also had an extremely attractive wife who seemed to be just tolerating his stupidity .
I could only hope for her sake that he was better at shagging than erecting a childs play frame .

  15. Fortunately I've managed to get the wife to do the shopping, despite the best efforts of the supermarkets to get customers to social distance apparently there are still people who ignore the one way signs etc.

  16. Went to GP surgery today to drop in repeat prescription form in their outside box for the purpose. A builders van pulled up and 3 blokes got out, what the? Walking back to my car parked about 50m away, 3 ladies were walking and chatting shoulder to shoulder and driving back home saw a lot of joggers out and they weren't bothering to self distance.

I think all folks have to stick with the rules and do their bit to reduce the virus spread.

My neighbour Jon is on shift today at the hospital and speaking with his wife today she said he works on the Covid ward and A&E. From what she said it seems the front line staff are well equipped with protection but poor Jon has learned that his sister and other relatives have died of the virus in the New York area.

Jon's wife is naturally worried about Jon as it seems several nurses and doctors have died here at our local hospital.

Please everyone, obey the lockdown and distancing or we all risk mass deaths and overwhelmed NHS.

For those who think they had it at Christmas or early in the year. I would think if it were around then it would have shown up on the figures here?
