Can’t fault them for their exit, good luck to them. When interviewed they are insufferably dull, not sure how many doors will remain open now they aren’t royal anymore, so the talk show and conference business will be limited. Cue lots of advertising and stuff on Instagram?
Stopped off at the click and collect at the local Sainsbury's this morning. Right next to the counter is the paper stand, while waiting, my eyes were drawn to the headlines. I though Megxit was very topical, and a little bit sad. Just goes to show what a quality press we have in this country. Needless to say, I didn't my fork out hard earned.....
isn't it quite a big press worth story seeing the money that the royal family have from us and those big houses they live in round the country. I feel sorry for him, the one thing he seemed to enjoy was his ties with the military and he is giving that all up to go and lives as a non entity in Canada whilst she resurrects her acting career etc.
Seems the Marines are split on all of this - apparently there is disquiet among them that he pledged allegiance to the Queen and is now wanting out. Something obscure about not wanting to raise a glass to toast him as their Captain General in future?
I don't honestly know what he's going to do if he's not a "Royal" any more. He can't really do anything, apart from fly an Apache, and there's not much demand for that in civvy street. And he'll miss the military. Meghan can just swan around being a Celeb. I'd give it two years, tops...
I can understand the disquiet, the queen is the head of the armed forces ... queen and country, loyalty to the crown and duty all rather old fashioned. You have the Queens Colours, in the wardroom a photo of the Queen & Prince Philip, Queens Regulations. Harry was only given the role of Captain General RM a year or so ago, all the RMs I have known have a strong sense of duty and to see Harry walk away like he has done would I imagine ******* a number of them off.
