..well Its idling very very similar to mine..pretty much same..anyways..in ur case it could be low compresion problem?..I preasume it even on all cylinders but still low..you may need to give it more time to bed in..Im wondering how did you check for vacuum leaks?..I mean what method?
I was tinkering on mine almost all day today and...found bloody vacuum leaks in head/manifolds on both sides..ehm dont no but they werent there before..how did I find them?..here you go..

..gonna get it sorted until this Sunday tho bc my bus will b on daily duty

  2. Yes 2x balance pipes one the original across the bulk head that feeds the servo & another 1 on the front two ports on the manifolds.
CB performance manifolds for ict’s have 2 ports on each manifold.

  3. It picks up fine if you floor it from about 2k rpm, so I think the main jet is something close.
It is a very mild cam C25 Scat. Other people are saying they run one & no issues with idle. Beginning to think CR is too low for the cam.
I am going to see if i can get the rings bedded in & recheck the compression. Wishing i had built it with flat top pistons now for better CR.

  4. have you checked your ignition cables are not mixed up?

  5. Had a problem once on a type1 ,it was kadron carbs ,had been working fine on a 1600 they were put onto A 1776 and had your problem, lumpy tick over. They had small brass fittings which were very small, looked big but the internal diameter was not large enough changed to a larger fitting and bingo.

  6. It starved no1 of fuel ,when plug lead was pulled no change.

  7. Is it just me or does that sound like it is only running on 3 cylinders?

  8. Yes it is.

  9. what gaskets have you used on the manifold bases? Have you checked for air leaks? The issue of taking a long time to fall back to idle is often a result of over fueling. Are you running ICT's?

  10. Have you checked fuel pressure? what pump are you running.

  11. If you google this fault for a type 1 it will come up on a VZI thread.

  12. ICT's will run well if the fuel pressure is set correctly. you need a max of 2.5 psi. Mechanical pumps can push out as much as 6 psi, causing over fuelling.

  13. Used card gaskets on the manifolds not the metal ones. Pump is a 12v huco low pressure. Running ICT’s.
I need to get the rings bedded in, the low compression & blow by is not helping matters.

  14. When you say small brass fittings are you talking about the jets or the Venturi size being too small?

  15. The brass fittings that go into your manifolds for the balance pipe.

  16. WHS^^^ you must use the manifolds for the balance pipe on ICT's If you have EMPI manifolds, they will not have them pre drilled. you have to get them drilled and tapped. The CB performance manifolds are so much better and have the take offs pre drilled. 13mm ID is perfect diameter pipe for the balance pipe.

  17. Yep have swapped to the CB performance ones. Much better quality.

  18. So you have the larger balance pipe.

  19. I have the original metal one which goes across the bulk head connecting the rear two ports and a rubber one connecting the front two. The rubber one is 6mm bore so I might swap the front ports to the same size as the rears & use larger bore hose. Can only help.

  20. 6mm bore is not enough.what size is the metal one.
