Mr T, you are labouring under a great misapprehension if you think poodles are French. Some say they originated in Russia or Germany but they were also known in Roman times. The French tag comes from them becoming fashion accessories in Paris where their coats, originally clipped for sporting purposes, were stylised into grotesque fancy shapes. In any case, our poodles are Yorkshire born (apart from the German one) so perhaps a flat cap and plus fours might be more appropriate. Here's another photo I took on our Scottish trip . . .
I have it somewhere. Always seem to forget I have, and I’ve never read it. I will dig it out and read it!
