Hello and Welcome from The Colonial Contingent . . . I'm one of the few sensible people here, so you can trust me.
I’ve got an ad in the for sale section for a 1600 Twinport and if I say it myself it’s a bloody good engine
Hello from a Southerner in Sheffield . Have a shufti at peoples resto threads. It may inspire you, or make you cry
That`s blummin lovely work - well done . Having seen the quality of your repairs i`ll up my offer to £14.50 .. Stick at it , there`s been a lot worse on here , one of them mine
Looks like a cracking engine, not surprised it sold quickly! I'll have to make my mind up whether to keep it original with a type 4 or put a type 2 in.
Ta, I managed to pickup a section from a scrapped van which had the 'bulge' in it otherwise that would have been a nightmare to sort. I think I've managed to negotiate with the missus to get more time on the van over the winter
obviously this is a lie.... never trust anyone who says 'you can trust me'. and 'sensible' is a completely subjective term. life on TLB will teach you critical analysis and absolute cynicism, enjoy!
Welcome from eastish to you, near Durham. Finally, a bus with more rusty bits than mine! Great work you're doing there.
there used to be a aircooled vw scrappy near tebay on the m6. If you manage to find them, can you ask if the have an indicator stalk and a door roller for a 73. ta.
I've committed to type 4 Managed to find a set of oem heat exchangers, pipes, pods and a aux fan in used but excellent condition. Not much more than degrease and paint needed
