I did once work on the building of a oak frame house. Very clever stuff. They actually had to try and anticipate the warps and twists as it seasoned. They have a life of their own for the first 100 years those houses.

Yes loads down there and the odd lobster ,use a crab hook in the rocks ,poke it inta cracks n wait fa the grab winkles n prawns were easier but bludee heavy carrying sacks up the cliff steps
I do like Chester. Newark has the Govenors House in a similar style but is now a Greggs. Class. It has the original toilet which is a seated hole on the second floor so the Gov could take a dump on the poor in the streets. No change there then.
