We have got snow in East Bristol but it is summat and nuffink, it’s been on and off for about a couple of hours but started to pitch/ settle depending on where you is from but then it gave up the ghost, now it’s a bit like half hearted confetti.

Ozziedog,,,,,,, shall I put me snow tyres on or not ?:):)

It’s a a demount prime mover with tandem axle demount trailer 30 30 combination total train weight 36 tonnes to be even more pendanticar.

Basically, the boxes stand on their own legs that fold out when I raise the suspension to allow me to drive out from under them. Demount!

It was fun backing under those two boxes on that icy slope this morning

A few inches either side and over 60ft in the dark it has to be precise.

  13. I stand corrected.

In my days serving in the UPS's, we called them Wagon & Drag the same as you, but I understood that that was an Americanism and that here in the UK they were originally known as a drawbar combination. Does that not apply to the ones with the demountable boxes then?
And the wheels on your trailer are too close to the middle, we had proper ones with them at the ends.

Old fashioned 50's design and really quite hard to reverse, not proper any longer I'm afraid.I pulled them for Cow n Gate back in the late 80's. They always seemed cobbled together and not very stable. Wobbly boxes we called them back then. Tuffnel's still use them and you occasionally see one in a ditch because the agency drivers can't get the hang of them.

  16. Organic or not?
