Theresa May loses televised debate shocker

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by SweeneyTodd, May 29, 2017.

  1. That the PLP member he was planning to support this evening decided he was toxic and should no longer attend and cause further damage so he was a loose end. Or this is just a game and having said he wouldn't attend he thought this was a crafty way of getting one over on the PM?

  2. Labour U turn! Perhaps May should have too. Shes got form.

Away from real politics though. Paul Nuttall showed himself up for the bigot he is.

  3. I didn't watch it too busy ... looking through the comments since some have said that she was right to stay away after Corbyn's U turn and another also thought he was badly prepared and whilst he turned up seemed to forget having done so he would have to debate. Someone said Nuttall was nuts but then we knew that.

  7. im totally convinced the tories would get in. As convinced as i was that we would vote for Brexit and that Donald would get in. It really will be a government many people vote for and then regret!

  13. As an ex physics teacher I was disappointed that the 7 parties in the debate on BBC tonight weren't in colour spectrum order

I thought the same, my OCD sensibilities were tingling away!!

They had some form of order with B,B,G,G, G,B,B but that could have been improved with traditional B,G,B,G,B,G,B

However I think it should have been organised from left to right with Corbyn eyeballing Nutsack from the two end booths all evening!

With broadcasting non-bias in mind, no one has had a pop at the SNP for not sending their leader... maybe they thought that the sweaty guy was a more balanced debater as his breadth of opinion was far wider than Jimmy Krankies!

I'm reminded that an election debate also means we get to hear Leanne Wood talk about wales :)

  17. So by your reckoning if we were somehow able to slam all these politicians together we'd end up with just white light, instead of the white noise we are getting from them at the moment.
