did you have the misfortune to hear Hilary Clinton's post result speech? I don't think I've ever heard a more banal set of platitudes in my life...each one accompanied by a rapturous 'Whoop' from the amassed crowd...She's clearly a very savvy and intelligent person, but listening to the dogrel beeing spewed by all the candidates, save Sanders, the Ameriacn populace are being infantilized....doesn't bode well IMO...it's bad theatrics
Sanders and Clinton are both extremely dull and have little to offer policy wise, but Clinton is sufficiently middle of the road to capture the floating voters, who will probably be put off by Trump. The US have an even poorer selection of politicians than we do, which is a big achievement.
I think both Sanders and Trump are anti-establishment. Sanders, in particular, has a huge support amongst the younger generation, but this won't translate into votes, unfortunately. Clinton is pure establishment...the 'democratic' equivalent to the Bush clan. She'll probably win and it'll be big business as usual.... I see Trump as a protest vote for disaffected republicans with a little 'r', (similar to Farage in a way) but I've yet to hear any nailed-on policies (apart from building a wall across the border)...just bluster, double-binds and narcissistic clap trap...frightening that so many find this appealing. When i was a kid, i used to read 2000AD comic, featuring Judge Dread....this campaign reminds of something akin to the atmosphere in Megacity One
That's the general consensus but if any one can out all the Clinton lies once and for all, Trump can. No one cares if Trump lies. Clinton 47% Trump 44%
can you imagine a bigger farce than seeing those two at the hustings, vying to be the next president of the USA? A serial liar of the Tony Blair School vs a silver-spoon real estate tycoon with Narcissitic Personality Disorder...what will they talk about?
Much as the Clintons are an odious pair, I'd rather see their dirty laundry kept under wraps than see Trump in charge. Plenty of time to smear Clinton once she beats Trump.
Trump is doing so well because he can say what he likes to get the simple folk to vote for him where as the career politician has to judge his/her words not to damage their future.
The private email server? The FBI have decided to describe it as "extremely careless" and not prosecute. Careless! Must have been accidental. She's obviously trustworthy and well meaning really...
Remember Ronald Reagan, I think on that basis, Trump has a good chance. The USA seem to go for a certain type for president.
Reagan was fun and likeable and we knew he was an actor and used to learning lines and say what he was told to. Not the Nine O'Clock News did a great sketch about him. When he forgot his lines, Nancy used to help him out.
I hate hillary ever since she came to my state.N.Y as a senator. Its disgusting what shes done as a politician. And how this govt. is covering her is sad, Dont get me wrong ,Trump is no great pick, but id vote for mickey mouse Or any filthy animal other than her lying a$$. Sickening . Reagan was at least a guy you could see as a father figure in some respect In his last years he was lost but , clever man ...and a good person in some ways .flawed but o.k. She appeals to the walmarts .i call it . And anyone who gets a social servive check for having kids they cant feed. Etc. Big companies who pay no taxes ...wall street . The list goes on and on, The fix is in , Thanks for the memories ron, Watch this . Funny stuff,,,
Not sure I understand Trump. Is he isolationist or wanting to project american power. I dont get his making America great statements. If its the former then the rest of the west is up Marmite creak without a paddle. If its the latter then the whole world is in the same place. Does he want a fight or is he just using nationalism as a vehicle to the shiitehouse. However you look at it hes a knob jockey and may well win as were told Hills is the most unpopular presidential candidate ever!
Funny stuff, when did politicians loose their sense of humour? It was the day they started to believe their careers are more important than the people they are supposed to represent.
