I've been blue sky thinking and I'd like to run a few ideas up the flagpole if you wanna have a pow wow?
So long as you don't mind me stir frying a few of those ideas in my "think wok", then we're good to go. You're certainly propelling with forward momentum the folded and often Manila-coloured letter container with that one snots
Used to have this HR lady, in meetings/training days, if someone was starting to go off on a tangent about something she'd be "can we park that for the moment" meaning we'll come back to it later
You do the math! Run it up the flagpole and see who salutes it.. Take the helicopter view Ive used most of these and all the previous cliches for a laugh. Frighteningly people who have never used them start quoting them back at you. Perhaps im just too convincing. Our latest one came from the boss who came back from a leadership (self help group) event having had the benefits of another organisations "eyes wide open" campaign in empowering the workforce to report issues, sort of kaisan-light ( theres another cliche thats creeping in, "______ light") anyway it sounded poonthe first time he said it, its so cringeworthy i cant bring myself to say it and he brings it up at our meeting every couple of weeks asking how the campaign is going... It going to nowhere city i can tell you! Its kind of like a zero defects approach (another one). Remember... safety is no accident! As noones said it yet........4 bolts!
Excuse me Van if this is a bit out of leftfield, and you may accuse me of playing hard ball, but you're not "on message" are you?
