There was under 3 mins left on the clock, Wales would have taken an age to recover the ball, then kicked as deep into England territory as possible or taken a short on where there were gaps and kept possession. Even in the best scenario, where you get the ball on halfway, I still think the lineout was a far higher chance for you to get success with. I thought Burgess was ok, hard for him to find go forward when the team was throwing penalties like confetti, I also think Doc outplayed him.
Ballsy move to go for the line out but then to throw it short five yards from the touchline and not a long throw to 15 yards is a school boy error.....
Simply not good enough from England. They cocked up against Wales by not scoring enough points when on top and that's heaped the pressure on tonight.
