Trying to decide where to escape too for a well deserved break, two kids, a dog, and us - we enjoy the countryside and are looking for somewhere we can chill quietly Where is your favourite UK Spot and why?
Dartmouth, Devon. Gorgeous roads through slapton sands and stuff there too. Would be perfect for what you're looking for..
Love the lake district ,plenty of quiet spots if you look around ,spectacular Country side and walks ,great food as well This is my fave campsite due to the location (nice walk to Keswick) and cheapish although side farm has a slightly better setting. http://burns-farm.co.uk/
Not worried about travelling - once the camper is done we are planning a UK tour before hitting Europe so can check back to this thread then too - the lakes have always appealed and is great to get a recommendation - could be tempting - we have done the south coast a fair bit so will be good to get away further Thanks folks - keep them coming
We love Southwold and Walberswick, only one campsite in southwold but if you can get on just across the road from the beach and 300 yds from a great fish shop on the harbour, if you have kids great crabbing in Walberswick a short ferry or walk away also lovely sandy beach with a few stones, Steve,
Isle of Wight! Bembridge to be precise. Croyde in North Devon is the actual answer. Laid back, beach with waves, pubs - all good!
I.o.W is supposed ta be nice, we like cornish , well anywhere really , what time of year you coming ?
North for the weekend as it's close and we spent a lot of time there as kids. Looe for a week or longer as we have loads of really good friends there
