What do you do / buy its all a load of tosh in my mind, I don't like giving carp to people that don't need it.. and don't enjoy receiving tat tbh if I need something I probably have it ...
I get something for Ms.T, something for The Eldest Unmarried and something for the parents in law. Usually a piece of antique jewellery for Ms.T, books and cash for The Eldest Unmarried and something alcoholic for the aged ones.
I think this is going to be implemented next year, with a few ££ given to a local charity instead im sick of xmas commercialism.....
Yep. I absolutely hate all the commercial nonsense of present giving. People ask me what I want and when I genuinely say nothing, they don’t listen to me and just ignore it and put themselves through the hell and expense of shopping when I’ve told people I just want them to sponsor me a guide dog. Christmas is a time for giving and I’d really like them to give someone the gift of a dog. That would mean more to me than some socks. the best bit about Xmas is seeing my family, eating too much and playing silly games. Receiving presents is way down the list.
That was lucky I was just about to send you fifty quid in the post , don’t worry I’ll waist it somewhere else
I give loads of people presents..... For the many not the few! Not really ...... I try not to give any!
Hi @art b I've just read this & put you a VW Splitty Salt & Pepper set in the post. Have a lovely xmas. Bernie xx
No. It's a "fun" present and is only going to sit under the boot floor anyway. It's actually in very good condition. He has other "proper" presents too
