  1. Hi all,
I'm after a Vintage Speed super flow type2 muffler, NOT the tuck away style.

    Cheers

  5. Is he in a member of a group on Facebook or are you friends with him, as a search doesn't show up anyone obvious.
    Cheers
    Sam

  6. I have found him, but looks like a sports muffler not the super flow

  7. Super flow is up to 150 BHP ! What engine do you have?

  8. It's going on a 2110cc stroker.

  10. Hi

Sorry to cut in but I am looking for the sport muffler version, any chance you can let me know what face book page it's on?

  12. Nice are you building it yourself? Tell me more

    Cheers

  14. Cheers Paul,
Yes I am building it myself although with the help of my friend who is a builder.

    The spec at present is
    Auto Linea case
    CB counterweight 82mm crank
    CB Uni tech rods
    90.5 BnP
    044 CB panchito heads
    CB super stock 1.25:1 rockers
    Scat c25 cam
    Dellorto DRLA 40s
    123 ignition
Full flow oil with remote 48 row cooler .
    Etc

I have just ordered my gearbox parts so that will hopefully all work well together.

  15. excellent. good cam for low down torque apparently.
You will need final drive ratios similar to those in a 6 rib gearbox, for motorway cruising at lower rpm.
    With 185 /65 /R15 tyres mine does 70mph between 3200 and 3500rpm
Sensible to do gearbox at the same time, I did my gear box the year after I fitted my 2110!
Are you keeping your heat exchangers?

  16. Cheers, the gearbox parts arrived today, a 4.57 RnP the same as a 6 rib but the non 6 rib box has a longer 4th gear.

With regard the H/E I am at the moment, if I upgrade to a petrol eber then I might drop them but I will be skint after the build as the van is having some body work as well.

    What's your full spec ?

  17. I think my gearbox set up is the same as yours.

I've also kept my heat exchangers and will only get rid if I can ever afford eberspacher

There is a thread on here somewhere with full engine spec, but off top of my head it's a web cam, mofoco heads and great to drive!

  18. Good stuff, the Mofco heads look good. What exhaust do you run ?

  19. A post from elsewhere:
Stainless Steel Turbo Muffler 2 ½’ Small Flange from VW Speedshop
    Bugpack 4 into 1 Exhaust Header: 1 3/8” (35mm)
I had this exhaust set up prior to having my 2110cc engine built (35.5 exhaust valves)......

I was told tube sizing should be at least size of exhaust valve, preferably 3mm bigger for best performance....
but I was running standard Heat Exchangers - 33mm.
I couldn't afford eber or new big bore heat exchangers and a new exhaust set up, so I kept it as is.
I may lose a few HP, but the 2110 is plenty powerful enough and I can even de mist my front window!
The exhaust sounds good, but is very loud, it sets off alarms on certain makes of car.

My current exhaust also prevents me from having a tow bar and is quite low so I have to drive carefully onto ferries etc
