I must admit, I have a soft spot for the old wizard roadster. Obviously they have to be done well, none of this wrongun malarkey with pre-67 wings and post 67 bonnets. Wouldn't mind having a play with one and seeing if there was something fun that could be done with that shape, roll bars and so on. Maybe I'm just a skinflint without the money for a heb or the skills to build a replica! Just putting it out there.
I used to have one . Must admit was great fun to drive and you also got some funny looks with it being a bit different.
what's a Wizard? I only know of a potential 70's kiddy fiddler and totp singer....... so that may mean he's a wrongun too.
Really?! They just look like the owner hasn't done it properly! That said I'm a bug fan of US '67s with their quirky headlight combo... And I think VW change the wrong parts on crossovers!
This is a wizard http://thelatebay.com/index.php?threads/1970-vw-wizard.16112/ I saw the light in the end a got a late bay.
I was trying to think of a way of using the term Wizards Sleeve in this conversation in a witty way. I didn't manage it.
Just Beetles used to sell a specific car cover for wizards / hebmullers... Can't quite think what that could be called....
Yep I honestly do. Variety is the spice of life. I've had a couple of wronguns and would again. Much better than being told I have the wrong colour rubber around an indicator for the year etc.
A guy came up to me in a car park a few months back and said : Nice van - I've got a wizard. I had a long conversation with him with no idea what he was talking about until I got home and googled it
