  5. Can't understand it tho tbh

  6. I bought a new one off the shelf, in modern wire, no real problem fitting, I think it was rapid Fit looms if I remember rightly.

  7. Was it any good, can you remember price?

  8. It was brilliant but, I was starting form scratch and had nothing to connect it to so built it up as I went along. The diagrams were fairly easy to read and simpler than the ones above but, then I am electronics trained so maybe had an advantage. It was around £320 but, worth it I thought.

  10. I replaced the whole loom in mine a couple of years ago as I had a mess of wires to the ignition and also kept blowing random fuses.

Bought it off the shelf from VW heritage and haven't had any issues with it. Just take your time, label everything on the bench according to the diagram and remember that Some of The Samba diagrams are for American buses so have things like side markers etc. I printed a3 wiring diagrams and had them laminated!

As Yorkie I fitted a rapid fit loom, found it really easy and enjoyed fitting it

Even if you buy a off the shelf wiring harness I would add a couple of extra wires .
Use ful for ignition feed to reverse lights instead of tapping into coil feed and any other extras
