I have finished sorting my wiring behined the dash as most of it was disconnected, all is working except for the wipers which is on the steering column/stalk, with the stalk fully down the wipers are off ,push it up 1 click= nothing, push it up 2 clicks and the wiper come on(but slow) push it all the way up 3 clicks and again the wipers work but still slow, so it seams like the 2nd speed is not working. Anyone have any ideas what could cause this?
It's actually one click down or 2 clicks up. I think! I've never seen a bus where the down one does anything. Perhaps the spindles would appreciate some lubrication? Does it sound laboured?
Ahh so i'm guessing with the stalk all the way down it should be intermittent wipers? and the 2 clicks up should be speed 1 and speed 2? Lubrication is probably a good idea as it did sound like they were binding
On a later bus, the bottom position was, I believe, for the delay wipe option. One more click up is off, one more click slow, one more click fast. If you haven't got two speeds, need to check your wiring or the motor. If you've got a neck like ET, you can pull the connector off the motor under the dash, and check the right volts are appearing on the right terminals.
