  1. As title please, must be working.

    Can be either early or late bay type.

    Have one ... How can I test it for you?

  3. I only need one speed, so a simple continuity test shouls suffice, or so would think a quick touch with 12v should see if its sparks into live would be safe.
    Failing that, I would probably take a chance at the right price.

    Cheers Keith

    PS don't suppose you have a O/S quarter light..

    I do but I'd have to take it off a project shell that is sold STC so don't feel that would be very kind!
    There's going to be someone on here with one ... @davidoft :D

    Will try a 12v stab .......

    OMG! Have you seen what these are going for on Heritage, Custom etc?
    Haven't found a private sale yet for reference ... Did you have an idea already?

  7. Opening please.

    I do have one, but the runner had come out, after wrestling with it all afternoon, re riviting the hinge etc...its just won't shut properly.
    Thinking a replacement will be much easier as the frame is probably bent/misaligned.

    I took a couple of photos because I'm not sure which wires it's ok to test it with ... Don't want to blow anything :-/
    Can you tell from these pics?
    Four wires in all ......[IMG][IMG]

    Better photo ...
    Have been told:
    brown = earth
    Black+colour = ignition related
    BUT ...
    fixated on the household version of:
    Brown = live
    Black = neutral
    AND ...
    the two wires going to the motor are:
    Black + long green stripe
    (via the sleeved join)
    Black
    (via the middle solder join)

  15. Assuming this is going on a late bay, the brown wired earth is switched earth, through the wiper switch I think (black and green stripe from the switch from memory)The primary earth is through the tab at the cable securing bracket on the motor mount.
    At least that’s how I did mine recently and it’s working fine, after I fitted the main wiper arm 180 deg from what Bentley says to set the park position....

    Ok so got a spark but no movement I'm afraid, so either it's shot, or just "seized" ... Still want a go?
    (That was brown to +ve, black to -ve, and not even a spark with any number of other combo's)

  17. Willing to take a chance if its cheap enough

  18. Try earthing at the spade at the cable clamp and +ve on the black wire.
    The wired brown is earth only for the park function, earthed through the wiper switch. If it’s in the park position now, it won’t do anything testing across the brown wired earth.
