  1. Roof looks great! Where did you get the sunroofs from? My dormy roof just has the original vents - very drafty and annoying:(

Top quality work. You're going to have a very special van when it's finished. I love your colour scheme.

  5. The roof came with the sunroofs already fitted. I purchased it from O'connors Campers about 8 years ago. I can have a look and let you know details from the sunroofs if you like. They look like standard aftermarket car sunroofs.

  6. Thanks for your kind words. I fitted the curtain rails in the roof tonight after work. Need to get the bus mot'd by early June, so got to work on it at every opportunity!

  7. This weekend I prep'd and painted the underside of the cab floor and wheel arch area. I used POR-15 Hard Nose paint under the arches and Epoxy mastic everywhere else.

Sealed all panel joints with Sicaflex PU sealant/adhesive before painting

I was going to blow over the underside with the body colour but decided I like the contrast between the blue and black.

  8. Time for an update.

I have now fitted the servo and made up the link between the pedal lever and the servo. Manufactured this from 19mm silver steel with a 14mm thread in one end and the original non servo plunger fitted in the other end. The servo installation was going well until it came to connecting the top reservoir to the servo reservoir. i purchase a Brazilian pipe thinking this would fit, only to find it was for a left hand drive when I offered it up. So then I spend a good hour gently heating the pipe and reshaping it to fit. I had the shape right and just had to extend it slightly, all was going well until I just left the heat on a little too long and totally destroyed it:mad:. So then knocked one up in copper pipe which fits really well. just don't know if I am going to use it as I cannot clamp the ends as it would distort the nice round ends in which the seals fit nice and tight. May resort to some flexible EPDM brake hose. Also started making up the brake lines.

  9. I then spent 5 long days under the rear of the bus scraping off the old underseal, cleaning and applying Epoxy Mastic and POR15 Hardnose paint. I'll let the pictures do the talking...

Next job is to change the rear brake back plates and generally refurbish the rear brakes and set the trailing arms/spring plates correctly. Then it's carbs on and engine in!

  14. Your doing a great job man :hattip:
Really like your colour scheme, you were right to stay black on the bottom, it looks proper smart!
Engine bay looks great too
    Keep those pics coming!

  16. Getting closer

  17. That's the intention Para, I need it on the road in 2 & 1/2 weeks! (it won't be completely finished though, just roadworthy) Hope to go for an MOT next weekend.

  18. Best of luck with the deadline ill keep my fingers crossed for you
The mot testers face should be picture worthy

  19. Thank you, I need all the luck I can get. Still out in the garage now fitting the carbs to the engine.

Couldn't get the castle nuts off to remove the rear hubs. I have new nuts being delivered in the morning so I can then take the angle grinder to the nuts so I can get on with the brakes. Then it's back to work on Friday & hopefully engine and wiring loom in at the weekend.

  20. Only one week until I'm meant to be camping in Wilby!

Here's some more pic's of recent progress in the engine bay area.
