Why are people building and using machines to pump co2 from the atmosphere Into the ground to react with minerals to turn it into a solid material What’s wrong with trees that convert it to oxygen, provide habitat and at the end of there life provide building materials and fuel that will eventually breakdown and become part of the cycle again
I'm just watching about the deep sea mining on the news. The guy said it will cause much less disruption to the landscape and people. What about the bloody living things in/on the sea bed? What about the damage done to the ocean? How will it affect the livelihood of fishermen etc who live off the sea! A friend of mine was in nicuagua years ago and they went to do an interview on a U.S oil rig. The drilling had polluted the water/fishing nearby causing problems for the local indigenous people. Luckily they had provided the locals with hamburgers and cola drinks to make up for their now lack of natural food stuffs!

Its no longer worth worrying about it. In a world where influence is money and money is made by trashing the environment you aint got a hope. And dont blame the lunatics we put in charge blame those that put them there. Its all self regulating and as the human race declines in numbers due to that very same climate change it will have less influence. Unfortunately it will take a long time to recover with a much reduced diversity of species and habitat but im sure it will kickstart itself again probably in the distant future!
