Why do foods taste different when you have them at a different time to normal?

  1. So for various reasons, still up, and hunger kicked in - so much for a early night, anyway just done some toast - it tasted really different to when its ate in the mornings?

Why is this and why do we associate certain foods with a certain time of day or am I just completely abnormal?

  2. Breakfasts always taste great whatever time of the day you eat them...

Thinking & hoping the crossing to your island is smooth this morning as I will be having my brekky on the crossing, if its rough I might well be tasting it twice!

  3. It does seem wrong to have a curry for breakfast, but I'm not sure why. Wouldn't fancy porridge for my tea either.

rickyrooo1 Hanging round like a bad smell

I hate it when i 'm told "you can't have that for breakfast" etc, etc, there's nothing nicer than pizza or chinese leftovers for brekky, and i absolutely love chips for breakfast if they were left over from the night before - but they have to be cold - i'm not some sort of monster.

  6. I always look forward to a full English breakfast but has to be the first meal of the day ,all day breakfasts don't do it for me .as for leftover Chinese/ pizza next morning forget it I can't face it when its cold also the smell just doesn't fit the bill first thing in the morning.I make an exception for left over roast spuds there great with eggs and bacon.

  11. Oh my! It will be a long day! You won't want to pop in for a cuppa then! More than welcome if you do.

Hopefully you make it over next year again in better health and non work related and we will meet then!

Safe travelling - enjoy Shanklin = if you can! :p

  12. Mmmm I laaarve breakfast pizza! I like a lot of foods better cold than hot....

Except cold eggs...eggs have to be hot... egg mayo is the only exception....

I like a full breakie in the evening for my tea, and I eat cereal a lot for tea too... ^-^

  16. On a long day like today you can't help eating at strange times & sometimes stranger foods but today was relatively normalish...

I did however have a bottle of Pepsi max about 1pm sat on the roof of the store freezing my bits off whilst waiting for the store manager to let me back in!

Oh and a cheese pastie with ketchup & a packet of crisps on the ferry home, technically in the middle of the Solent!

I'm sure there are stranger things to eat at stranger times & in stranger places :)
