Women, I mean. I sent some flowers to Ms.T this morning for no reason, I just felt like sending her some flowers. I got a phone call, no "Hello Darling", no "Thank you, they're lovely" Just a "What have you done?" quickly followed by" What have you bought?" I have protested my innocence as I have done nothing wrong, I've (mainly) stayed away from the interweb sites I'm not supposed to be on (Amazon, Evilbay, CD Universe etc). I haven't bought anything apart from some seeds & some stuff for the garden. Can't a man just send his partner flowers for no reason? I've a good mind to go & look at the Range Rover that's for sale locally, that'll really give her something to complain about
Tell her that the flowers were actually meant for Olga, a Ukrainian pole dancer you've met, and that you simply got the address wrong. Sounds like a perfectly credible explanation to me.
I have never had the inclination to send flowers.... although sometimes, if I feel the urge, I will help her with the shopping from the car....
I buy flowers pretty regularly at the local florist and it's not unusual for someone to say "Nice flowers - what have you been up to?' when I'm walking home with them. Usually I'm as innocent as you Don
Its often said just because thats what men assume women will say and they wouldn't want to disappoint!
