  1. Ok ...so I'm looking for a pair of sunroof latches to make a prototype opening tailgate window (yes, I'm aware that Creative do one, and Bluebird used to, before people reply) ....if you google 'sunroof latch' you find loads of images of OEM fittngs...I'm trying to source a manufacturer....have looked at Southco for inspiration, but not entirely sure what the name of this type of latch is...

    Anyone know for definite?
    tried so far:

    lever latch
    over-centre latch
    position latch
Vent window latch.... There must be a technical term for this type of fastener (please don't say sunroof latch)

  8. it's a very specific application....it acts as an over-centre latch, a detent latch and a draw latch all at the same time....

just trying to avoid trolling round scrapyards looking for a matched pair....maybe blag some of a Beemer Touring...there nearly all scrap these days:p

If I find a good supplier, and can source all the associated gaskets etc. I've half a mind to do the rear passenger windows as well....pop-out bay heaven:thumbsup:

Going on my ever-increasing list of modifications that I'll never get round to completing

The two door 52 reg Peugeot 307 has latches on the rear side windows that allow them to be swung out about 40 mm.

  10. Hmmmm .... Safari bay - kinkeeee.

    I likes it

    (sorry that`s all...)

  11. if you're looking: google 'rear quarter window latch' or 'vent window latch'....neither of these is the correct term, but lead me to what I needed
So whilst happy with the outcome, my inner pedant remains unsaited
