mine should have been mixed to L90D but does look a bit creamy. I need a bit of touch up on the bumper where i hit it while reverse parking the bug. d'oh!
the sliding door is old pastel white , around the side window is halfords pastel white and the rear vent is rustoleum pastel white
Re painting mine at the moment with L90D from Jawel, it is somewhat creamier than the original, but i just put that down to the original fading, its not a million miles off and its only when you see it next to a brighter white that it starts to look very cream colored. so must not park Mrs MH's golf in Alpine white near it
Going off-subject slightly, I have just been to the Rustoleum stockist in Sheffield to sort some paint for pop-top. When I mentioned mixing to VW colours he just passed me wads of colour sticks for BS colours and other " standardised " colours.....of course true to form, given lots of choices, I picked wrong shade !! May not be mad, but may well be colour blind ! noticed that lots of you guys use rustoleum and wondered if it was just my stockist who was less than helpful !
All the stuff I've had mixed (from afar) to L90D has turned out the "right" colour. I'm sure the "new" stuff must have a different paint code.
I got my L90D rustoleum mixed by Avenue Coatings in Slough and it was spot on. L63H as well. Best to insist it's mixed to a paint code, rather than name or sample.
Thanks Snotty, ordered some from here mail order. I don't know why I couldn't see it in Halfords but don't fancy going back there. I only went in the 1st place as they had a 3 for 2 offer on Meguiars products.
