Wheels and tyres

  1. Heres a few useful links to help when trying to work out what wheels and tyres to fit to your late bay.
    A stock late bay wheel has a 5x112 PCD and is 5.5" wide and 14" diameter with an offset (ET) of 39mm.

    Too little offset (lower ET number) will push the wheels too close to the wheelarch and too much (higher ET) will let them catch either the rear springplates or front trailing arms or balljoints. :(

    Stock tyre size would be a 185R14C (185/80/14) 6 or 8 ply with a minumum load rating of 95. Most tyres in that size will have a load rating of 102 which is 850kg at maximum inflation pressure of 65psi.

    Remember, a smaller diameter front tyre will affect your speedo reading. Your speedo will read faster than you are actually travelling.
