i may have to agree - i'm hoping for a miracle when i see it...... holes are inevitable whatever happens.
I've got a merc space saver. 155 tyre and no need to machine the centre bore as its big enough already. I'd be interested if Top Banana Racing manages to find a workable solution to stashing underneath.
Ohhhhhhhhhh Seemed to have got it to work now. Are you seriously going to fit that just to save a few quid??
as i said earlier, i thought it may be worth a look for the money, if i think it's crap in the flesh then no of course i won't.
But that's just wasting good money when that £40 odd pound could have gone towards a new distributor.
i must admit here and now i've got possesed with the rear carrier idea, since fitting the propex in the wheel cupboard i'd been storing the wheel in the van and throwing it under when camping but the dogs are squished and the wheel gets all damp and it annoys me when i put it back in, i really am not keen on the front idea and the roof idea looks nasty so when i saw the evil bay one i entered bidding frenzy...... i'm hoping against hope that once i get it blasted and painted that the wheel will hide most of it...... i will of course mock it up 1st and see if it looks gash before i drill but to be fair if it's functional and the tyre itself hides most of it then does it matter?
Ha ha you said Gash! I think it will look ok, just so long as the bar doesn't protrude too far past the wheel.
i'm thinking of cutting it down if it does.... hopefully it will get here early next week. haha, he hasn't rang and to be honest i'm not bothered the more i've thought - the more i love my bus.
ended up putting it on the front using Top Banana Racing 's carrier looks ok, £41 down buying that crappy rear thing but you win some you lose some, if anyone wants it it's yours but collect or meet only - it's cost me enough without paying to get rid!
the cover is only temporary donated by MorkC68 until i can get a nicer one (skegvegas?) it's ripped but will do for now.
