Wheel alignment in Hull area?

Discussion in 'Mech Tech' started by daisy1, Jun 28, 2019.

  1. Any of you guys got any experience with a garage that can handle 4 wheel alignment of my bay? The full lot has been replaced or adjusted in some way so need to find someone who knows what they are doing.

  2. Can’t say for Hull but I took mine in to ATS in York. What normally happens is they just follow the instructions on their computer but if they haven’t got our model listed, they will say they can’t do it. But if you get the alignment specs and they’ve got an old school fitter, they can handle it OK. Bentley or Haynes have the specs.

Same here. Handed ATS in Portsmouth the Bentley manual opened on the right page and they did it. Another local ( Formula 1) place could not cope with the geometry of it being lowered as well as being a T2.

  4. Anyone got the specs from the manual you can send me?

    daisy1 and bernjb56 like this.
  6. A tyre place will be able to measure the geometry, bit apart from adjusting the toe-in, I’d doubt they’d be able to do anything else. Really only toe-in and camber on the front are adjustable, and they’re unlikely to have the tools to do the camber, even if the adjusters aren’t rusted solid. At the rear, you can’t really do much and with a lowered bus the geometry’s likely to be all over the place.

  7. this isn’t lowered it’s lifted so who knows where’s it’s at lol
