Whats this connector for?

    Found this 3 pin connector dangling aabout in the rhs of my engine bay today whilst removing an old eberspacher petrol pump for renovation. Havent had the chance to follow the cable yet. Just wondering if anyone has come across this before?

    its a flywheel sensor for the bosch diagnostics to help with tdc and rpm.
